Overall Aim of Business and Technology
To Introduce and understanding the structure of organizations and the role of accounting and other key business functions in contributing to the effective, effective and ethical management and development of an organization and its people and their interaction with technology, data and information systems, knowledge and understanding of the organization and its environment.
Introduction to the Business and Technology (BT) Syllabus
The Business and Technology (BT/FBT) syllabus introduces to the students to give them a knowledge about the business, the environment of the business and entities, the functions of the entities, the role and responsibility of each and every individual in the business and entity.
Business is made up of people and systems. The business have its separate environment, including social, economical, legal and technological factors.
It has key stakeholders and they are well aware of their rights and responsibilities they have in the business.
The syllabus then describes the structure and functions in an organization, concentrating on financial regulation and the key role in this process related to accounting, particularly in the financial reporting, control, assurance and compliance.
The syllabus then introduces key issues of leadership, people and management, such as effective behavior of individuals and teams, motivation and personal efficacy.
The final section of the syllabus examines how accepted professional ethics and professional values should underpin behavior at all levels within business.
Summary of changes to Business and Technology (BT/FBT)
In order to fully meet the needs of stakeholders such as employers, students, regulatory and advisory bodies and learning providers, ACCA periodically reviews qualification syllabuses.
From the syllabus and study guide for September 2019, when the exam was called Accountant in Business, there are no additions, changes or deletions to the syllabus.
How to pass the ACCA F1 exam
The F1 ACCA exam is a two-hour examination that will cover the entire syllabus range.
Section A will contain 30 objective test questions with two marks and 16 questions with one mark, while Section B will contain 6 multi-task questions with four marks each, each covering the 6 areas of the above-mentioned syllabus.
You need to score a mark of 50 percent or more in order to pass the ACCA foundation level exam, which is more than capable with good preparation.
